Introducing the CTC Promise™
Premium tax planning can feel risky — clients wonder what happens if the IRS challenges a strategy, and sometimes planners wonder the same. The CTC Promise lets Certified Tax Coach Members build protection into premium engagements so both planner and client know there's already a plan if a covered strategy is challenged.

Qualifying client strategies can be backed by insurance protection designed specifically around proactive tax planning.
You're not promising nothing will go wrong. You're showing clients you've planned for what happens if it does.
Reduce the fear of "what if something goes wrong" when recommending sophisticated strategies — qualifying strategies can be backed by meaningful protection.
Higher fees create higher expectations — add a layer of protection and peace of mind.
A covered IRS challenge doesn't have to become your next project. The CTC Promise provides a defined claims process and handles the covered matter—so you can stay focused on tax planning.
Most tax professionals can only reassure clients that their recommendations are sound. You can offer something more: qualifying strategies backed by coverage from a third-party licensed insurance company.
The CTC Member offers qualifying tax-reduction strategies through a proactive planning engagement.
The member incorporates applicable CTC Promise coverage cost into the premium engagement.
The qualifying client strategy is enrolled for coverage and the client receives a Certificate of Insurance (applicable evidence of insurance), subject to policy terms and eligibility.
Continue selling premium tax planning; the CTC Promise simply adds another layer of protection.
All benefits are subject to policy terms, conditions, exclusions and limits; not every audit or amount is automatically covered.
Coverage subject to eligibility, underwriting, exclusions, limits and applicable policy terms.
The CTC Promise rewards responsible tax planning. It doesn't rescue irresponsible tax planning.
Illegal conduct, prohibited transactions and excluded reportable transactions are not covered. The program supports thoughtful, well-researched, defensible planning.
The Economics
Build the CTC Promise into your planning fee. Your client gets greater protection, you preserve your margin, and the added security makes saying “yes” easier.
